Joyce Meyer in her book, “The Approval Fix” speaks of a preacher who held up a $50 bill before a large audience. “Who would like this bill?” Hands went up everywhere. He then crumpled up the bill in his hand. “Ok, now who wants it?” The same hands went up. The preacher took the bill and threw it on the floor crushing it under his feet. “Who still wants this?” The same hands were raised high. The speaker said, “You have all learned a great lesson today. You all knew the value of this bill when we first began. You also knew that, no matter what was done to this bill, it’s value did not decrease.”

Joyce goes on to say that,”Many times in our lives, the circumstances we face or the results from decisions we make cause us to feel like we have been dropped, crushed or ground into the dirt. We feel worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, we will never lose our value in Gods eyes. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, we are still priceless to him.”

If we really understood and believed this, how different would our lives be?In these writings, it’s my desire to share my collection of priceless truths that The Lord has taught me over the years. Many times it was when He was lifting me out of my own crumpled and crushed places that He would pour words of truth over my broken soul like a healing balm. I’m learning. Perhaps we could learn together.
