Joyce Meyer in her book, “The Approval Fix” speaks of a preacher who held up a $50 bill before a large audience. “Who would like this bill?” Hands went up everywhere. He then crumpled up the bill in his hand. “Ok, now who wants it?” The same hands went up. The preacher took the bill and threw it on the floor crushing it under his feet. “Who still wants this?” The same hands were raised high. The speaker said, “You have all learned a great lesson today. You all knew the value of this bill when we first began. You also knew that, no matter what was done to this bill, it’s value did not decrease.”
